Ripfactory is a progressive software development company at the cutting edge of the digital music market worldwide. With a focus on the CD to digital music industry, our customers are drawn from vibrant high street brands, service providers and retailers from California to Melbourne, who rely on us to deliver outstanding products and customer service.

Within our current Belfast headquarters, we are seeking the following applicants to build and grow local operations:


1
. Sales Executive (USA)

In order to expand our CD2 rollout, the successful candidates will be have a proven sales track record in export technology sales with a good working knowledge of digital consumer audio. Candidate must be results driven and willing to travel worldwide to achieve these results. The successful candidates will have an excellent financial package.

Required:

  • Familiarity with digital music formats and technologies
  • Experienced with technology solution sales
  • Superb telephone manner
  • An excellent customer relationship manager
  • Thorough PC and Windows skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine interest in music
  • Experience in board level presentation
  • Experienced in negotiation and procurement processes

Third level education would an advantage, however all applicants will be considered for this role.

This is a rolling position and has no closing date whilst we obtain the right candidate.

2. Software Developer/Software Graduate(2)

Successful candidates will drive the development of applications for digital audio delivery systems for the Apple iPod and other innovatove digital music products and will have the scope for career advancement as the team is built, along with an excellent salary. Some (limited) travel may be required.

Required:

  • Good working knowledge of C# , VB.NET, ASP and SOAP WSDL
  • Third level education or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL server
  • Working knowledge of shared project platforms
  • C ++ knowledge would be an advantage
  • Ability to work alone and in small teams

Of particular advantage would be any experience within development of digital music tools and a demonstrable knowledge of current digital audio technologies and formats and a working knowledge of UPnP and iTunes COM.

3. Linux Support Engineer(1)

This position is open for full time position or rolling temporary contract to assist in product support and maintenence of our NAS based solutions. The successful candidate will have clearly demonstrable knowledge of Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions and demonstrate their ability in customisation and trouble shooting of our full Linux release packages, with the ability to include additional build components as a result of technical support troubleshooting. Whilst the candidate will work closely with our development team on product development, they will be expected to contribute to the development and build process in an ongoing basis. This position would suit an experienced, enthusiastic hobbyist that can demonstrate the skills required - previous career experience with Linux is not essential.

Required:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Linux in various distros
  • Experienced in RPM, Live CD, Apache and custom build generation
  • Fully conversant with audio cd ripping and file formats
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Proven customer support skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines

4. Support Engineers (2)

Successful candidates will be experienced in the support of PC hardware and software and will be supporting our worldwide customer base of professional music organisations on a daily basis.

Required:

  • Experience of phone based PC hardware and software
  • Experience of remote desktop support tools (VNC, RDP)
  • Knowledge and understanding of audio software tools
  • Ability to build computer equipment proficiently
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office , CRM and Im clients
  • Experience with help generation tools such as Robohelp
  • 1st class telephone manner
  • Ability to solve problems 'outside of the box'

The successful candidates will require some travel to customer sites at short notice, and will require some casual on call work as required. Of particular advantage would be knowledge of MS SQL and XML, and any experience on low level software testing. An excellent package is available for the right candidate.
