What sort of services can I deliver to my customers with MediaGrabber?
DVD to media servers, media centres, iPods and other portable devices is now a reality, in addition to pure data ripping to HD - store backup media to a hard drive,
What sort of charge can I place on such a service?
For DVD Video, the standard pricing is around £/$ /Euro 2.50 per ripped DVD.
What type of output devices are supported?
Most major media servers, anything Microsoft Media Centre based platform, PSP, iPod , Zune , Zen , Archos.
What robotics will it work with?
Any of our supported hardware will run - Mediatechnics based MT1, MT2 and MT4 and our latest MF Digital based MD1, MD2 and MD4
What formats can I rip from?
DVD Video (plus, minus , Dual layer, DVD9 , region agnostic) , DVD Data , CD data , HD DVD, Blu Ray.
How many discs per hour?
MD1 - 7 , MD2 - 14, MD4 - 30
What format is natively stored on the hard drive?
Video TS hierarchy , VOB format files.
What about AVI , WMV and other file formats?
All file formats are supported for batch encoding via scripted and external encoders, all fully documented by Ripfactory.
Can I strip menus and subtitles?
Not natively in the MediaGrabber interface , but as we first rip to VOB files, many many third party tools are available to achieve this.
What type of metadata do I get back?
Cover art, director, title, lead actors, year of release and much more detailed metadata including UPC, publisher, cast list and much more.
How does the bar code facility work?
After the rip, MediaGrabber provides the option to 'clean' the metadata - at this point simply scan the UPC bar code from the DVD case and all metadata is retrieved on line instantly.
Can I fix the metadata?
Yup, just as above and you may simply key the data in.
Is there a list of compatible media servers?
Most major media servers are supported, added to weekly so please contact support for an updated list. |
